Supporting children with heart conditions

Rwanda Pediatric Association (RPA) in collaboration with Vivo Cuore Foundation, a non-profit organization based in Canada, facilitates Rwandan children with heart diseases to get access to life saving specialized cardiac care, by facilitating their transfer and all processes related to travel (local transport, obtention of travel documents like passport…). This support is provided to children in need and cardiac interventions are done in various countries like Spain, France, Egypt, etc… and post-operative follow up care when they are back in Rwanda.

Vivo Cuore and its partners such as Chain of Hope United Kingdom and Mecenat Chirurgie Cardiaque (MCC)/ France fund the travel and cardiac interventions of children such as open-heart surgery.

These interventions save and transform lives of Rwandan children and give them a chance to grow in normal conditions like other children and make their dreams a reality.

Other children get support from other organizations under the coordination and support of the Rwanda Ministry of Health either through local missions or referral in specialized centers abroad.
